Construction of 899 sanitary units (including 6 units for the handicapped) in the town of Pedregal, Chiriqui. The project consisted of providing hygienic bathrooms in homes where there were no bathrooms or latrines according to the census. The objectives were:
Provide a sanitary solution to low-income families within the community; establish a water and sewage connection to the national water and sewage system, and train users of the Sanitary Unit in its use and maintenance.
For this, the previous approval of the blueprints was done, and the construction permits were obtained. We estimated the interconnection of potable water, the interconnection to the existing sewage system, as well as the connections within the house, which included the hygienic bathroom (shower, door, toilet and sink) with their respective accessories, as well as the basic electricity service for the bathroom and the adaptation to the existing house (roof, zinc cart, paint, window, white tile), percolation studies, preparation and delivery of the final approved blueprint, delivery of technical reports and specifications.
